Home Invasion. Don't think it can Happen to You.

Two adults and a juvenile are charged in a home invasion on County Living Lane in Glade Spring, VA.

William Joseph Skeen, 18, of 221 Reservoir Street in Bristol, Virginia is charged with attempted armed robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Elizabeth Childress, 18, of Lime Hill Road in Bristol, Virginia, is charged with attempted armed robbery.

The 16-year-old juvenile male is charged with attempted armed robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Washington County Sheriff Fred Newman said the investigation revealed that Childress drove Skeen and the juvenile to the residence "where the two donned panty hose over their heads, brandished a handgun, and forced their way into the residence after being met at the door by the victim."

"Once inside, the pair demanded money and drugs but were spooked by another resident who was returning home. The two then fled the residence and the area. It is unsure at this time whether the victim knew the perpetrators," Newman said.

Skeen and Childress have posted bond, authorities say, and the unnamed juvenile was arrested and is being held without bond at Bristol, Virginia's Highlands Juvenile Detention Center.

That's the reason every door should have one of those little eye holes to look through.

When I worked at Big Stone KFC, we had a sign on the back door saying "WARNING! NEVER OPEN THIS DOOR WITHOUT LOOKING FIRST! YOUR LIFE COULD DEPEND ON IT" and we had an eyepiece.

If all doors had that eyepiece then you could report someone who is harmful.

Like what we were talkin about Saturday at Danny's house when he knocked on the door and left you and I standing there for his wife to answer the door to at 9:30 in the morning.
